About

Our Mission: The Oxford DDA is dedicated to the promotion, development, and historic preservation of downtown Oxford.

Our Vision: The welcoming pedestrian friendly downtown of Oxford offers a unique shopping experience with a variety of specialty shops, galleries and eateries housed in beautifully restored historic and complimentary vintage styled buildings. The entry to the downtown is lined with professional offices in a mix of converted residential dwellings and a compatible steeped pitch roof village scaled quaint buildings set back from the sidewalk showcasing well-manicured front lawns and lined with mature shade trees providing a canopy over the road.

On street parking lines the street in the downtown and beautifully landscaped municipal parking lots with free public parking are located behind each of the four downtown quadrants.  The attention to detail in the vibrant downtown is exemplified by the seasonal flowers and decorations, banners, lighting, signage, public art, high level of maintenance and architecture.  Off the beaten path, down side streets visitors discover cafes, pocket parks, shops in converted residential homes and new buildings, bike trails leading to beautiful historic residential neighborhoods, unique parks and to beautiful countryside and nature escapes.

The quiet energy of the downtown is created by a hum of visitors and residents experiencing the shops, restaurants, historical museum, and movie theatre, activities in Centennial Park and downtown celebrations and annual events.

To fulfill the Mission & Vision,  the DDA invests dollars to promote the downtown and the businesses located there.
