Village Manager & Clerk
The Village of Oxford works under a Council-Manager form of government, with 5 elected Village Council members who oversee and advise an appointed Village Manager who is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Village affairs. The Village Council also appoints a Village Clerk, who is responsible for official record keeping and over site of the Village's affairs. The remainder of the Village employees report directly to the Village Manager, or that individual's designated appointee for a given department.The Village currently maintains the following departments that serve the Oxford Village community.
- Administration/Finance
- Building, Planning, & Zoning
- Ordinance Code Enforcement
- Public Works
- Police
In an effort to carry out the various needs of our community, the Village of Oxford partners with various service providers to provide key services to Village residents. Fire protection services are carried out by the Oxford Fire Department, which serves both the Village and Oxford Township. The Village's elections are carried out by Oxford Township, and the Village's assessing/equalization, as well as emergency dispatch services are carried out by Oakland County.
