Dine Out Oxford is a celebration of all the restaurants in downtown Oxford. 
Treat yourself to delicious menu items during Oxford’s popular Restaurant Week event.
Snap a picture of your meal and post it on our social media channels to enter Dine Snap Win photo contest.  Dine Out Oxford takes place during the last week of February.

Concerts in the Park series is a concert series that spans from June through August. In recent years, the event
has been held on Thursday evenings. The Oxford School of Music has been a partner in organizing this event. Musicians for each concert are generally local or regional bands. The series takes place in the heart of Downtown Oxford at Centennial Park.

Oxford merchants are pleased to once again offer hot summer deals at their annual end of summer sidewalk sales taking place Friday and Saturday.

Take advantage of substantial reductions on a variety of fabulous items that must go.  Merchants will be out in force with great sales to reduce inventories before the fall season.   
Shoppers will find great discounts on gift items, home decor, clothing, toys, jewelry, accessories and so much more. Hours may vary, but most merchants will be on the sidewalk from 9am to 6pm and inside after 6pm. So, shop early for the best steals, deals and unbelievable savings.  Don’t miss the best bargains of the year on an array of quality merchandise at participating merchants located in downtown Oxford. 

 

Scarecrow FestivalScarecrow-4C

The Scarecrow Festival features a homemade scarecrow contest with scarecrows displayed in front of businesses, and homes throughout Oxford. This event is typically scheduled for the second Saturday of October. Whether you are an autumn aficionado, appreciate great fall foods, or are just looking for something to do with the family, the Scarecrow Festival has something for everyone.

The Scarecrow Festival includes a Chili Cook-Off, featuring Oxford area restaurants, Hay Maze and Pumpkin Bowling. Additional activities include an inflatable obstacle course, live entertainment, and trick-or-treating at many local businesses. The Oxford Fire Department and Oxford Police have vehicles at the event for children to explore and answer questions.  The Scarecrow Festival takes place the second Saturday in October.

Gather ye witches young and old for a glass of wine and stories told! Calling all witches!! Grab your broom, cauldron and hat for a lady’s night out in a haunted Downtown Oxford! Enjoy shopping deals, restaurant food and drink specials, psychic readers, street performers, refreshments, pop up vendors and more. Prizes for best Witch Costumes!  Start the night in Centennial Park to check in and get your map of events. Check out our pop-up vendors and make your way through town to enjoy shopping and eats, deals, giveaways, promotions and treats!  Witches' Night Out takes place on the Saturday before Halloween.

Small Business Saturday is an American shopping tradition held on the Saturday after Thanksgiving during one of the busiest shopping periods of the year. This Saturday is always the last one in November, so it falls between November 24 and November 30.  Shoppers will find great deals for gift items such as toys, home decor, clothing, toys, jewelry, accessories and so much more.



 

Soup & Sweet StrollSoup&Sweet-2C

The Soup & Sweet Stroll takes place the first Friday of December. Visitors can purchase wristbands in Centennial Park then stroll from restaurant to restaurant and store to store tasting Oxford's signature hors d'oeuvres, soups, and sweet baked goods. Downtown restaurants are invited to make a signature soup or sweet to share with visitors. Downtown businesses participate by staying open late, offering specials, and setting up outside to serve pre-packaged treats. The event includes a visit with Santa Claus, petting farm, caroling, and performances from the Oxford Community Schools choirs. The highlight of the evening is a tree lighting at 8:00pm in Centennial Park. The Stroll takes place on the first Friday of December.
